Calling all US students interested in completing a Publishing MA

  • Are you in the US and thinking of taking an MA in Publishing in the UK?
  • And likely to be in New York or Washington in early June?

If so, why not make an appointment with Course Leader Alison Baverstock to find out more about Kingston University’s MA Publishing program? Alison will be attending Book Expo America in New York (June 2nd to June 6th) before moving on to Washington (June 6th to June 8th).

To arrange an appointment in New York or Washington, or to meet at Book Expo America, please email a.baverstock@kingston.ac.uk

Alison is looking forward to meeting previous students (now working in US publishing), and making links with those who would like to come to Kingston. She says:

“Kingston has a strong tradition of links with the US – around a third of our cohort is international, and we are seeing previous and current students pass details back to friends and family back home – and a steady stream of applications and arrivals.

The advantages are evident: we offer an established and vibrant MA Publishing in London, the international home and hub of the industry, providing first-hand insight into the operation of the industry. Some students stay on after the course has finished, others take their shiny new qualification back home and explore its international pedigree in the job market.

Courses in the UK offer excellent value for money and can be completed in a year (or two years part-time).”

Alison’s trip  coincides with the US publication of her new book on self-publishing, The Naked Author (Bloomsbury).
